The Beauty of Nature, Made to Be Worn

Hi...I'm Alicia!

Some paths announce themselves loudly. Others wait patiently until we're finally ready to follow them. After more than a decade working in the creative world of film production, I found myself standing at the edge of something very new.

In early 2026, I moved to Haliburton to study Jewelry Arts, not fully realizing that I was beginning a complete transformation of my own.  What started as curiosity quickly became something impossible to ignore.

There was something about working with metal, stone, texture, and fire that felt both entirely new and strangely familiar, as though I had stumbled upon a path that had been waiting for me all along. The expereince had  me learning to trust a different rhythm. One led by curiosity rather than certainty. By instinct rather than expectation.

OOGAM emerged from that space.

(Its name carries a story of its own, as many of the best things do. )

So if you've found your way here, perhaps you're a little curious too. I look forward to seeing where this path will lead me. Thanks for joining in on the journey.

The Artist Statement

I create wearable translations of the natural world. Through my jewelry, I want to explore how the natural world and metalwork can actually live together. I’m always asking myself: how far can I push metal? Can I really make it mimic something as organic as nature? My process is a study of nature’s geometry—from the microscopic details of an insect’s wing to the sweeping erosion of a shoreline. I want to see how far I can push metal to mimic the softness and complexity of life.

These pieces are an invitation to pause and appreciate the details that usually go unnoticed. By utilizing raw and found materials, I keep each design unique and deeply personal. To me, jewelry is about holding space for meaning; I let the fluidity of the process dictate the "why" behind every metal and stone.

Jewelry Crafting Process

To keep your organic heirlooms shining, we recommend cleaning them gently with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals and store your pieces in a dry, safe place when not being worn to preserve their tactile beauty.
